German Diversity Day

The German Diversity Day, initiated by the “Charta der Vielfalt“ (Diversity Charter), takes place every year throughout Germany. In 2023 the Diversity Day took place on May 23rd. The Department of Medicine and the Department of Sport and Health Sciences of the TUM have organized a joint series of events for the occasion.

The TUM was the first German university to sign the Diversity Charter in 2007. With the signing, the TUM commits itself to creating a working environment that is free of prejudice and exclusion. The aim is to promote an open working culture based on inclusion and mutual respect.

TUM Horizons Diversity Workshops

Workshops for students of the TUM

In the TUM training programme you will find courses every semester for key competencies on gender & diversity, work-life balance, leadership, group dynamics and team development or change management. FEMTEC - The Career-Building Programme for female students

The Career-Building Programme for female students prepares you specifically for professional practice and future leadership tasks. It offers challenging career training, inspiring discussions on career-relevant topics, exclusive contact with fascinating employers as well as universities and research institutes. The scholarship extends over three semesters.
