Counselling

The basis for short-term labour contracts in the context of a scientific career is regulated by the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (Academic Short-Term Labor Contract Act (WissZeitVG)). For counselling on individual career planning, the following services are available at TUM:

Faculty of Medicine

You can make telephone or personal counselling appointments with the KeCK Team at the Faculty of Medicine so that you can discuss the best support options that are tailored to your individual situation. Other contact persons are available to advise you: the Gender Equality Officer of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr  Vanadin Seifert-Klauss and her deputies Dr  Andrea Achtnich, Dr  Sofie Lückerath and Dr  Mine Sargut.

For specific information on funding programmes and project preparation, please contact the Student Representative for Research at the Faculty, Dr. Joachim Grammer, as well as the TUM ForTe Team – TUM Office for Research and Innovation. The Department of Medicine offers various research funding opportunities.

TUM

At TUM Equal Opportunities, you can obtain advice from the university's Gender Equality Officer Dr  Eva Sandmann and the scientific speaker Anja Quindeau.

Students, doctoral candidates and alumni

The TUM Career Service supports students, doctoral candidates and alumni in their application process and career planning. All doctoral students at TU M can find essential information and support for their doctorate at the Graduate Center.

Postdocs, young group leaders, habilitation candidates and assistant professors

Postdocs, junior research group leaders, habilitation candidates and assistant professors can expect a contact point for their specific needs at the TUM Talent Factory. Here you will also receive competent consultation in the preparation of research proposals and in the acquisition of third-party funding. Your contact persons will also provide you with relevant experts who can proofread your proposal upon request.
