The TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning offers courses for students, employees, scientists, (senior) physicians and professors. They can take advantage of a comprehensive range of continuing education and training offers on topics such as living/experiencing change, communication, leadership, etc.

Students

TUM Equal Opportunities offers a variety of training seminars for credits within the scope of career qualifications.

The Carl-von-Linde-Akademie also offers courses in interdisciplinary fields of competence. The multifaceted workshops and seminars are designed to enable students to develop skills beyond their specialised subject knowledge in order to be able to decide and act competently and responsibly.

ProLehre offers, among other things, programmes to promote learning skills for students and support for student tutors.

Doctoral students, postdocs and habilitation candidates

The TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning offers special support for postdocs in the course programme for effective science management. It offers you the opportunity to acquire skills in the areas of leadership and science management.

CareerDesign@TUM offers a programme for structured continuing education in the areas of research management, teaching development, start-up consultancy, technology management and science management.

TUM horizons offers you the opportunity to attend virtual impulse workshops as well as regular workshops. The content is varied, and the offer includes workshops on stress management, dealing with difficult conversation situations and leadership training, as well as Excel courses and workshops on working digitally.

The TUM Office for Research and Innovation (TUM ForTe) is the first point of contact and the central coordinating body for any form of cooperation between the business and research sectors, research funding support and technology transfer at TUM.

ProLehre offers continuing education and training for your teaching activities, including courses specifically for teaching staff.

In addition to the TUM programme, the German Association of University Professors and Lecturers (Deutscher Hochschulverband, in short DHV) also organises seminars for academics. These cover a wide range of topics such as digitalisation, leadership, taxes and law, and even career and conflict management.

Speziell für Postdoktorand*innen und Habilitand*innen:

The TUM Talent Factory offers various workshops for postdocs who are already engaged in research at TUM. The workshops are designed to help young researchers develop important skills and knowledge in areas that are essential to their career and that extend beyond everyday research activities, as well as to provide opportunities for networking with other postdocs.

The Münchner Studienzentrum (Munich Study Centre) supports the implementation of clinical studies. The course programme is aimed at members of review groups, typically licensed physicians, project coordinators and study assistants. The Münchner Studienzentrum teaches ethical and legal basics of clinical studies as well as all the practically relevant aspects of planning, organizing and implementing the study.

The Chair of Research and Science Management offers seminars, exchange forums and custom-tailored offers for professors via Faculty@TUM from the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning. You will have the opportunity to expand your leadership skills, create your personal leadership profile, and obtain literature on the topic of leadership from the TUM Leadership Toolbox.
